Actions

Thank you for being with us and for all that you do!  We are the solution and every act of resistance counts.

  • Indivisible will match your donations to Central NH Indivisible, up to $300 during the month of August!  If you've been thinking about making a donation, August is the perfect time!   Just click the Donate button on the upper left corner of this page!    We appreciate every donation!

  • Free Speech for People's Impeachment Petition.  Central NH Indivisible is working with Free Speech for People to lift up this movement. We currently have 2,746 signatures in (NH-01) with a goal of 3,000 signers and 3,243 signatures in (NH-02) with a goal of 5,000 signers. We will ultimately deliver the petitions to Representatives Goodlander and Pappas.  If you are interested in learning about lobbying visits, please let us know.  We'd love for you to join us!

  • Postcard to NH Democrats, encouraging them to vote in the November 3 midterm elections.  Writing postcards is the most effective way to help rally Democrats to vote from your home.  We have 300 postcards to write with a mailing date of October 21.  Please contact Bridget if you would like some.

  • Urge Democrats to Oppose and Stop Trump's Crypto Corruption using Indivisible's sign and send letter.  You can also call, using Indivisible's call script; the Senate is expected to vote within the next week.

  • Use the ACLU's sign and send to ask members of Congress to pass The Right to Record Act, which will preserve our constitutional right to observe, record, and protest law enforcement.

  • At a time when the cost of groceries, child care, gas and other basic necessities continue to be at record highs, families cannot afford any cuts to WIC. Use Feeding America's sign and send to tell your members of Congress to fully fund WIC.

  • Kent Street Coalition hosted a fantastic legislative wrap up which we will provide the recording for, as soon as it becomes available!  It is a must watch and provides an opportunity to hear directly from some of our amazing legislators about the wins and losses of the legislative season.  More importantly, the legislators provided both short and long term actions for moving forward.  Top among them are to VOTE, encourage others to vote and find out who the democratic candidates are and give them all the support you can: go to forums, make calls, amplify their messages and donate.  If we each do what we can, we can reclaim control of the legislature to work for everyone.

We refer you to Kent Street's weekly newsletter's Veto Corner.  There are several bills on Gov. Ayotte’s desk we would like to see her veto.  Representative Wendy Thomas, who was instrumental in stopping the proposed "human warehouse ICE detention center," reminds us that language matters and that we should call things what they are, for example, human warehouse instead of detention facility, and mega AI data center.  She reminded us that the Free State Agenda is now the GOP agenda and mirrors project 2025.  She encourages us to educate ourselves and repeat our message over and over as MAGA has done.

  • Sign a petition to Governor Ayotte and the Executive Council to Protect New Hampshire Residents from ICE Cruelty.

  • Sign a petition to impeach Trump again.  Free Speech For People is calling on Congress to immediately impeach and remove Donald Trump for offenses that he has carried out against the people, institutions, and branches of our government.

  • Open Democracy Action provides two sign and send templates for us to ask Governor Ayotte to VETO HB 340, restricting speech of public employees.

  • Check Open Democracy's Weekly Actions here.

  • Prevent gerrymandering in NH using Kent Street Coalition's template found here.

  • Write Postcards!  There are many important campaigns to get out the vote and this is an easy action to do.  Sign up at Activate America.

  • Use the ACLU's quick sign to tell congress No Troops on our Streets. Sign here.

  • Use this sign and send from Robert Reich to Stop Congress from banning AI regulation nationwide.  And this sign and send to Ban Congressional Stock Trading.

  • Use this letter to the editor (LTE) Stop trying to keep voters from voting by Open Democracy Actions's member  Susan Read-Smith, which was published in The Keene Sentinel 11/19,  to write your own. Submit it to one or more local papers.  LTEs are effective toward informing all your neighbors about issues they may be concerned about.

  • Google is hosting a Customs and Border Protection (CBP) app that uses facial recognition to identify immigrants. The app tells local cops whether to contact ICE about the person – essentially putting people directly in the crosshairs of deportation.  Meanwhile, Google has removed apps and tools built by activists and advocates to alert neighborhoods when ICE agents are nearby, protecting families from sudden raids. Google has chosen a side: they’re helping Trump’s mass deportation machine while erasing the tools that would help immigrants stay safe and informed.  We even noticed a warning about Heather Cox Richardson's email newsletter.  Add your name now and demand Google STOP hosting CBP’s harmful app and restore the apps that keep our communities safe.

We’re grateful for your amazing support of Central NH Indivisible! Your donations have helped us secure a website, rent meeting spaces for our trainings, and gather supplies for events. Thank you for being part of our mission!
