From the ACLU: The Office of Management and Budget (OMB) and 40+ agencies have proposed a rule that would let the Trump administration approve, deny, or cut off federal funding to organizations based on its political agenda, not community needs. This rule is still just a proposal, which means it can be stopped: Tell Congress to demand OMB rescind this rule immediately.

Use ACLU's sign and sent to ask District Attorney Sean Teare to arrest the ICE agent who killed Araujo.

Kent Street Coalition hosted a fantastic legislative wrap up which we will provide the recording for, as soon as it becomes available! It is a must watch and provides an opportunity to hear directly from some of our amazing legislators about the wins and losses of the legislative season. More importantly, the legislators provided both short and long term actions for moving forward. Top among them are to VOTE, encourage others to vote and find out who the democratic candidates are and give them all the support you can: go to forums, make calls, amplify their messages and donate. If we each do what we can, we can reclaim control of the legislature to work for everyone.
We refer you to Kent Street's weekly newsletter's Veto Corner. There are several bills on Gov. Ayotte’s desk we would like to see her veto. Representative Wendy Thomas, who was instrumental in stopping the proposed "human warehouse ICE detention center," reminds us that language matters and that we should call things what they are, for example, human warehouse instead of detention facility, and mega AI data center. She reminded us that the Free State Agenda is now the GOP agenda and mirrors project 2025. She encourages us to educate ourselves and repeat our message over and over as MAGA has done.

Google is hosting a Customs and Border Protection (CBP) app that uses facial recognition to identify immigrants. The app tells local cops whether to contact ICE about the person – essentially putting people directly in the crosshairs of deportation. Meanwhile, Google has removed apps and tools built by activists and advocates to alert neighborhoods when ICE agents are nearby, protecting families from sudden raids. Google has chosen a side: they’re helping Trump’s mass deportation machine while erasing the tools that would help immigrants stay safe and informed. We even noticed a warning about Heather Cox Richardson's email newsletter. Add your name now and demand Google STOP hosting CBP’s harmful app and restore the apps that keep our communities safe.
